Phnom Penh drinks a lot of coffee, and the better cafés have spread well past BKK1 into Tonlé Bassac, Daun Penh and the lanes near the river. The city does two things well: serious specialty bars roasting Cambodian and regional beans, and big, airy spaces where you can sit for hours with a laptop and decent air-con. This selection covers a proper espresso, a quiet meeting, or somewhere to wait out the midday heat. The focus is the cup first, then the room and the welcome. Most are an easy Grab ride from the centre, several roast on site, and a few stay open into the evening. Prices and neighbourhoods are noted; weekend hours can vary, so check before a long trip across town.
