    Once you approve and pay, we create your personalised itinerary with recommendations and booking links. Your first version is ready within 7 days of receiving the information we need.

    Need an Angkor guide or a driver? We provide a separate quote for those services.

    3 feedback rounds included

    3 rounds of revisions are included. Send your questions and changes together for each round. We refine the itinerary with you.

    Once you’re happy, book directly using the links in your journal.

Who we are?

Hélène and Sébastien

We started with the same questions as you.

Hélène grew up in Cambodia from 1996. Returning for a family Christmas in 2024, we faced the same questions as you: where to go, where to stay and how to get around?

We have since made Siem Reap our home and explored the country, including a month by motorcycle. Those discoveries and encounters became The Map Cambodia.

Since then, we have helped plan many different trips. What keeps us going? Sharing the Cambodia we love, and making you want to come back.

In 2024, Hélène was selected for UNESCO’s World Heritage Young Professionals Forum. Her interest in heritage helps us choose visits and give them a thoughtful place in your route. The 2024 Forum ↗

What do I pay The Map for?

Itinerary planning costs US$35 per travel day at every trip length, with a US$150 minimum for your group sharing one itinerary. This fee includes your personal PDF journal, web app, three feedback rounds and support during the trip. Guides and drivers are quoted according to the route and services requested. Travel services are paid separately.

Do you book hotels and activities?

We research and suggest options. You choose, book and pay directly. Availability and prices must be checked when booking.

How are the planning fees paid?

The amount and payment arrangements are specified in your quote before approval. There is no payment to complete the questionnaire.

Can I read the journal offline?

Yes, once you have downloaded the PDF to your phone or computer. Links to booking websites require a connection.

Which adjustments are included?

Three feedback rounds are included to refine your Travel Journal before departure.

When will I receive my journal?

The first version of your Travel Journal will be ready within 7 days after you approve the quote, pay and provide the information we need.

What support is available afterwards?

Your personal web app brings together your day-by-day programme. During your trip, message us on WhatsApp or Telegram with itinerary questions or changes of plan. Support arrangements and response times are specified in your quote; booking changes are agreed with providers.
