Understand the site
Dedicated on 22 April 967, Banteay Srei was founded by a high dignitary rather than a king. Its small scale concentrates some of the most intricate stone carving at Angkor.
APSARA draws attention to the narrative pediments and numerous lintels, where stories linked to Shiva and Vishnu are carved with exceptional precision.
