Official entry steps
Sort your entry documents before you book the last details.
Check the visa rules for your passport on the official Cambodia e‑Visa website.
Submit the free Cambodia e‑Arrival within seven days before arrival or on arrival.
Keep your passport, approval documents, first-night address and return/onward details together.
Check that your chosen airport or border crossing accepts your visa. The e‑Arrival form is separate from your visa.
Have a payment backup for the first ride and your first meal.
Tell your bank you are travelling and bring a second payment card.
Carry a small amount of crisp US dollars for arrival, then use reputable bank ATMs.
Install a live currency converter and check the amount before confirming payments.
Keep small notes in riel or US dollars. Cards and QR payments can be useful, but check what your driver or accommodation accepts before relying on them.
Choose your first transfer before leaving the airport Wi-Fi.
Use the official taxi or ride-hailing pickup option; ignore unsolicited approaches.
Buy a local SIM/eSIM only after comparing data validity and activation terms.
Message your accommodation with your flight number if arriving late.
Confirm your arrival airport, the pickup point and how you will pay. Save the hotel address and allow time for the transfer before making evening plans.
