Spoons Café and Restaurant describes its food as creative Cambodian cooking informed by street-food and countryside flavours. Its official restaurant page currently lists breakfast, lunch and dinner every day from 7am to 10pm.
Spoons is the social enterprise of Spoons Cambodia Organization. The organisation states that restaurant profits support its programmes and students, while the dining room gives trainees practical culinary and food-and-beverage experience. The Mansion: a longer riverside lunch
For an unhurried hotel lunch, The Mansion at FCC Angkor by Avani has the clearest dedicated lunch window in this selection. Its official dining page currently lists lunch from 11am to 5pm and presents Khmer, Asian and international dishes.
FCC Angkor sits on Pokambor Avenue beside the Siem Reap River. Prioritise The Mansion when the setting and time at the table matter more than a fast stop. Use the hotel’s current booking channel when the meal anchors the afternoon.
Haven: garden dining that supports training
Haven combines a tropical garden and traditional Khmer house with a hospitality-training programme. Its menu spans Asian and international dishes and includes vegetarian and vegan choices, making it useful for groups with mixed preferences.
The restaurant’s official contact page currently lists Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 10pm, with the kitchen closing at 9.30pm. Haven recommends booking during high season and asks guests seeking a same-day reservation to use a direct channel so the team can confirm it in time.
Mekhala: a quiet lunch in a tropical hotel setting
Mekhala Restaurant at Anjali by Syphon is the calmest hotel setting in this selection. Its official dining page describes Khmer-inspired and international cuisine, relaxed lunches and a tropical setting at 1705 Korean-Cambodian Friendship Road in Krous Village.
Mekhala publishes a current menu and recommends reservations during busy periods, but it does not state a precise lunch timetable on the dining page. Contact the restaurant before setting out rather than relying on an inferred hour.
How to choose by area and timing
Choose Spoons when your day is around Wat Damnak and you want Cambodian cooking with a social-enterprise connection. Haven is nearby on Chocolate Road and works well for a garden meal or a group with different dietary preferences.
The Mansion is the easiest choice for a riverside afternoon in central Siem Reap. Mekhala sits farther west in Krous Village and makes more sense as a deliberately planned hotel lunch than as a quick stop between central sights.
