Why Visit
Ripple Effect Rides runs social impact cycling and tuk-tuk tours through the villages, trails and temple complexes surrounding Siem Reap. Rooted in years of experience in the not-for-profit sector, the team believes tourism is one of the most powerful forces for good when it’s done with intention. Every tour is designed to connect kind-hearted travellers with grassroots causes making tangible, immediate impact in the communities they’re riding through.
Every day tour ticket directs 10% to a guest-chosen partner cause. On any given ride, you might be supporting Eco-Soap Bank, which turns discarded soap into hygiene products for communities in need, REACH Siem Reap, which keeps vulnerable families together through education and healthcare, or one of four other vetted local organisations working across shelter, disability, inclusion and education. You choose at booking, and the funds go directly to the area of the community you care about most, with no middle layers.
The daily cycling tours cover 17 to 20km of dirt trails and paved roads through remote villages and lesser-known Angkorian temples, no Angkor Pass required. Guests are transported by tuk-tuk out to beautiful remote locations in the countryside, with snacks and refreshments included. Those wanting to amplify their impact can add on lunch at a vocational training restaurant.
Not a cyclist? The tuk-tuk options cover the same ground at a gentler pace, fully supported and a great fit for families or anyone who’d rather take it all in from the open air. E-bike upgrades are also available for the cycling tours.
Book the cycling tours directly on the website. Tuk-tuk tours and bespoke experiences are on request via WhatsApp.
